It’ll be a musical makeover!

One of the best fashion films to hit the big screen is headed to the stage. Courtesy of Sir Elton John and playwright Paul Rudnick, “The Devil Wears Prada” musical is in the works. Based on the 2003 novel and 2006 film–the premise of the musical centers around Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), an aspiring journalist, who lands a gig at Runway magazine as coveted assistant to the formidable Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) and struggles to fit in. What we know about the upcoming musical is that John will compose the music and Rudnick will write the lyrics. What we don’t know is when it will run or the starring cast. If I had my way, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt would all reprise their roles. But if that is not doable, I’ll settle for a repeat of the following:

That epic scene …

These epic quotes …

Is there some reason that my coffee isn’t here? Has she died or something?

I’m sorry, do you have some prior commitment? Some hideous skirt convention you have to go to?

Alright everyone, gird your loins!

By all means move at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me.
