There’s something about sporting a bold red lip that makes you pop. You can forget the mascara, forgo the blush, or skip foundation, but as soon as you paint your pout a crimson hue, it feels like you’re ready for anything! I’m always on the hunt to uncover new red lipsticks. I’ve come across a couple that I’m really loving including Pixi tinted Briliance balm in Rosy Red, $16, and Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge Lip Collection in ‘Diabolique’, $50. But the sartorial sleuth in me decided to reach out to a few of my fellow contributors at and followers on Twitter, to get the scoop on the red lip color that they’re loving.

Diane Aiello, a stylist who’s worked with companies such as Gucci, Nike, and Levi’s and been featured in magazines such as Allure, Elle, and Vanity Fair, is a fan of a few brands when it comes to red lipstick including Tom Ford, Make Up For Ever, and Lipstick Queen. Below: Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Color Lipstick in Moulin Rouge, $20; Tom Ford Beauty Lip Color in Cherry Lush, $49; and Lipstick Queen Liptropolis Lipstick in Soho, $22.
