SCOTTSDALE — This weekend was chock full of missions, but my most coveted was a Sunday afternoon at Sephora, where I received a one-on-one consultation with two of their beauty experts; Tina for skincare and Briana for color. I was excited to see the direction Briana would take with color. For eyes she used ‘Booty Call’, ‘Busted’, and ‘Half Baked’ from the Urban Decay Naked2 palette, $52. The result was a metallic lavender hue that made my eyes pop. To accent the look, I asked for the perfect cat-eye effect. I was introduced to the Stila ‘Stay All Day’ waterproof liquid liner, $20. For my cheeks she selected Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush, $30. I typically shy away from blushes, but it was soft and natural! My lips were truly the stand out feature. A vibrant and velvety fuchsia shade similar to Nars ‘Funny Face’ lipstick, $26, which was topped with Nars Larger Than Life lip gloss in Gold Digger, $26, for a striking shimmery effect.
To kick off my makeover we needed to start with a clean canvas so Tina used products from Ole Henriksen, a natural-based line with nutrient rich ingredients such as Vitamin C. I’ve been wanting to try the brand for some time and now was the opportunity. I’m really discriminating when it comes to my skincare routine and every year or so I like to try something new (since my skin has a tendency to change over time, I like to shake up my skincare routine). It was perfect timing too, since I’m in search of the perfect travel size skincare regime for my upcoming trip to New York. I just had to snatch up the Ole Henriksen Three Little Minis set, $22.50, and the Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser, $9, in mini size.
I can’t wait to start using my new skincare and eyeliner!
