SCOTTSDALE — Whether your skin tone is a soft ivory or rich mahogany, you'll definitely fall in love with the Tom Ford Beauty line and its luxurious offerings, from makeup and skin care to perfume. I recently had the opportunity to experience the brand first hand, since the full collection became available at Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale on Friday.
It was a mission in makeup starting with a makeover at Neiman Marcus at Fashion Square. I tried my cosmetic favorites such as pressed powder and eyeliner, as well as a few products that have been on my radar including a face primer and highlighter. After turning my face into a clean canvas, the Neiman Marcus beauty specialist applied the Tom Ford Illuminating Primer (left), which gave my skin a radiant glow. Once the primer was applied she used the Tom Ford Traceless foundation stick (below) in Chestnut on my face and under my eyes as concealer – I so love ne one product that can do two things. There's also liquid foundation, but I love the convenience of a stick.
Then came the time to add color – my favorite part. I decided to pass on eyeshadow, as pretty as they were, but loved the Tom Ford Illuminating Highlight Pen in Peach Blush used on my lid from lash to brow. It made my eyes pop. My ultra fave eye makeup was the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen (left), a two-sided eyeliner that delivered an uber thin line. It's perfect for creating the cat eye look. Words can not express how fabulous this product is, an obviously other agree because within a couple of days of hitting Neiman's shelves, the liner sold out.
But, what would dramatic eyes be without equally dramatic brows. The Tom Ford Brow Sculptor (right), is a waxy pencil with an angle edge for delivering perfect groomed brows. I liked how it made my brows appear fuller too.
And last but not least, what would a makeover be without lipstick. Lately I've been rocking red lip color and loving it. There's an amazing red in the Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge Lip Collection called "Diabolique" (above). Unlike most reds that turn orange on me, this was a true red –a perfect compliment to my eyes.
