Napa Valley — This weekend, Napa Valley Film Festival made its debut featuring a bevy of films including "J. Edgar" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and "The Descendants" with George Clooney. The inaugral event was quite festive and attended by celebrities including Jeffrey Wright, Judy Greer, Felicity Jones, Dane Cook, and Adrian Grenier.

My pick of the weekend was the Buick Tweet House held at the posh Avia Napa Hotel where guests and media could sip win and nibble hors d' oeurves. The VIP lounge was a haven for the Who's Who in tech and social media including Tiffany Shlain, founder of "The Webby Awards," who was honored by "Newsweek" as one of the "Women shaping the 21st Century" and Dom Sagolla, who helped create Twitter and founded Dollar App.
Sagolla introduced his new book, "140 Characters: A Style Guide for the Short Form," which outlines techniques on posting impactful messages on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. This chic little book is a social media mavens dream and features a forward from Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. I made sure to snap up a copy, and of course had it autographed with a personal message from Sagolla stating, "Right place. Right time." So befitting a spy-about-town like me!
But, the best part of the Tweet House event for me was a presentation from Entourage's Adrian Grenier and his partner Peter Glatzer in the online venture SHFT.com, a Webby award-winning site dedicated to sustainable design and coscious consuming. As if the evening wasn't lux enough, Grenier surprised the audience with the reveal of his new wine, Stomping Ground, which I was one of the lucky few to sample.
