GLOBAL — Reality TV stars Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian announced the launch of a new clothing line called Kardashian Kurves, a denim line for curvy figures and each Kardashian sister has designed a style of jean. To kick off the launch, they held a contest to find the face of the new brand. Among the many fans who participated, Briana Harrington, a 19-year-old from Chino Hills, California, was named the winner. Harrington is no amateur at posing for photogs. She started modeling at 17 for trendy e-tailer Torrid.com, and was a finalist for Seventeen magazine and Tyra Banks‘ Fiercely Real Competition, which was featured in the June 2012 issue of the magazine. I recently caught up with the emerging model to discuss her new modeling gig, style faves, and Hollywood crush.
“I was on Facebook one afternoon and I just happen to see the Kardashian Kurves contest. I thought why not just apply; it wouldn’t hurt. It would be an amazing opportunity, so I did.”
The Chic Spy: What were the contest guidelines?
Briana Harrington: The participants just submitted a picture showing their curves online and describing how they rock their curves. I didn’t think much about it until I received an email a month ago saying that I was the winner.
TCS: What was your reaction when you received the news?
BH: I couldn’t believe it! I remember me jumping up and down, smiling with excitement. I was at school when I found out so I tried to calm down, but I couldn’t.
TCS: What did you win?
BH: I will be featured in Sears stores, which is crazy. I can’t believe my face is going to be everywhere. It still hasn’t hit me yet.
TCS: If you were a Chic Spy Agent, what would be your code name?
BH: Breezy Bri. My friend’s used to call me Breezy my freshman year of high school and Bri is my nickname.
