Spotted: SMoCA Mix Red Carpet Looks

May 20162328Views

It was a night of fashion, dance, and of course, mingling during the 3rd annual SMoCA Mix event at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. The red carpet event was hosted by Creative Co-Chair Oscar De Las Salas and Emmy Award-winning news anchor Carey Peña.

With an Avant-Garde theme, there was a fashion show featuring designs from Albert Andrada, Elie Madi, Fouad Sarkis, Galina Mihaleva & Antoaneta Balabanova, and Rocky Gathercole, who accompanied his parade of extravagant looks with a cellist. In-between each designer’s showcase, the crowd was treated to contemporary dance performances from Movement Syndicate. The artsy ambiance was complemented with gourmet fair from local shops including hors d’ oeuvres, sparkling champagne, and tiers of mini cupcakes topped with the event’s logo.

But what really caught this sartorial sleuth’s eye were the fabulous looks spotted on the red carpet in the SMoCA Mix color scheme of red, black, white, gold, and silver. Here are my top 10 looks of the evening.
