GLOBAL — Day two of the Carrie Countdown brings us 12 days away from the premiere of "The Carrie Diaries." Spotted out and about on the streets of New York is the young Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb), sporting a bright green cropped denim jacket atop a black sequinned dress lined with a tulle petticoat. Colored denim was a major trend of the 80s and has recently made a comeback. It's a great way to glam up a simple white tee and boyfriend jeans or create an edgy look to a frilly frock.
I discovered the perfect colored denim jacket from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's line Elizabeth and James in neon pink. If ever their were a garment that was the zeitgeist of the 80s, I would say it's brightly colored denim and this cropped jacket is the epitome of how fun fashion was in that era.
