GLOBAL — Debuting in France at the Cannes Film Festival, The Great Gatsby hits the big screen in May, reigniting the jazz age culture and roaring 20s style that's sure to become a trend – chicly coiffed bobs, glitzy jewels, flapper dresses, and decadent lifestyle that was the zeitgest.
To recreate the fabulous visual allure in the film, executive producer Baz Luhrmann has enlisted elite brands Prada, Tiffany & Co., and Brooks Brothers to create looks for the cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire.
Now Luhrmann has teamed with Grammy-award winning music artist Jay Z, who will work with the film's composer Craig Armstrong to create an electrifying soundtrack that delivers the dynamic energy of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel revolving around the gilded "Jazz Age," which Fitzgerald termed it.
Composer Craig Armstrong's score will be infused with Jay Z's urban beats. His contribution to the soundtrack will include hip-hop and jazz, melding contemporary and period music to bring the decadent era to life.
I think the trailer needs another watch listen!
