Global — From fashion designers to Hollywood actors there have been a bevy of style influencers who have left their mark on the fashion world. In celebration of Memorial Day, I thought it would be befitting to pay homage to 15 style icons who are no longer with us, but their debonair style is eternal. Here are my picks.

Audrey Hepburn 1929-1993

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and… I believe in miracles.

She was the quintessential Hollywood starlet who embodied sophistication. She was also the muse to French fashion design Hubert de Givenchy. Hepburn starred in many classic films such as "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Sabrina," and "Roman Holliday" and served as an ambassador for UNICEF, championing the causes of women and children in developing countries around the globe. She was a humanitarian with impeccable style and grace.
