[tps_title]Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)[/tps_title]
When it comes to the age-old battle between the book and the movie, chances are if it’s related to fashion, us industry folk race to the theater. Watching costuming come to life and witness a character twirl in a full skirt or strut in sky-high heels – there’s simply nothing like it. Watching this film was like feasting on fashion week for 105 minutes straight. The film is relatable to fashion girls everywhere, from the lead character Rebecca Bloomwood’s (Isla Fischer) opening statement, where she describes her outfit it was an Instagram post to the constant battle of how to achieve the “in” look without breaking the bank. The lives of shoppers are humorously depicted and to me, there’s nothing better than when style and humor collide, as it’s a gentle reminder to not take yourself too seriously when it comes to dressing.
